A Brief Introduction to Simpleshow Website, a Tool for Blended Learning (Week 8))

General Information

Simpleshow video maker is an online tool that helps customers create simple, professional explainer videos — without needing any animation or video editing skills.

Video Production Method Demonstration

Making a video consists of three main steps, namely story, visualize and finalize. In the story step, you need to provide the topic, keywords, main characters and other factors for the website to write the story, of course, you can also create your own story. In addition, you can choose the style of the video to better match the audience.

Since I chose AI to write the story, after filling in the relevant information, AI will present a text for me to edit as shown below.

This is followed by the second step, the visualisation of the text, which corresponds to the sketch to form a simple video clip.

After the above and a second check, the final version of the video can be output and quizzes can be added as required.

Implication in Language Teaching

1. Vocabulary Introduction

Teachers can create short videos introducing new vocabulary with images and context-based sentences. For example, teachers can show pictures of fruits in the video and then give the right vocabularies to strengthen students impression.

2. Grammar Teaching

Videos can be used for teaching simplify grammar rules (like tenses, conditionals, or passive voice) using storytelling and visual cues. The video in which two kids talk about their holiday can help students understand past tense through simple conversations.
